How to set up your restaurant, step by step
A detailed walkthrough of the restaurant setup wizard: plan, details, opening hours, delivery options, menu, team and publishing.
When you create a restaurant in Restanaut, a setup wizard walks you through everything needed to go live. You can complete it in one sitting, most restaurants are ready in under an hour, or come back later, your progress is saved after every step.
Step 1: Choose your plan
Pick the plan that matches your needs:
- Starter, a permanent restaurant page with your info and menu, paid once.
- Basic, the ordering system with a monthly order limit.
- Business, unlimited orders plus team invitations, custom domain and branding removal.
Every plan starts with a free trial, so you can try the whole product before paying. You can upgrade or downgrade later at any time.
Step 2: Restaurant details
Fill in your restaurant's name, address and phone number, and upload photos. These details appear on your public restaurant page and help customers find and trust you.
Step 3: Opening hours
Set the hours when your restaurant is open for each day of the week, or mark days as closed. Your opening hours are shown to customers on your restaurant page. You can change them at any time later.
Step 4: Delivery options
Choose how customers receive their orders, you can enable any combination of:
- Eat in, customers order from the table and eat at your restaurant.
- Pick-up, customers collect their order from your restaurant.
- Delivery, you deliver orders to customers, with a configurable delivery cost.
This step also lets you enable email notifications for new orders, allow customers to attach notes to orders, and set after how many minutes unhandled orders are rejected automatically.
Step 5: Menu
Build your menu manually with categories, dishes, sizes and extra fees, or save time and let Restanaut create it for you: drop in photos or a PDF of your current menu and it will be converted automatically. Generation can take up to 15 minutes, and you can edit everything afterwards.

Step 6: Invite your team
On the Business plan you can invite staff members by email. They'll be able to manage orders and the menu. You can skip this step and invite people later.
Step 7: Publish
The final step makes your restaurant page live. You'll get your page URL, share it with customers and start receiving orders right away.
After the wizard
Everything you configured can be changed later from the restaurant settings page: details, opening hours, delivery options, general page settings, domain, team and invoice details. Your menu has its own page where you can edit and print it.
If you'd rather not set things up yourself, our team offers free setup, contact us and we'll configure everything for you.
