How to disable your restaurant page
Take your public page offline temporarily, for holidays, renovations or a rebrand, and bring it back with one switch.
Sometimes you need your page to disappear for a while: the restaurant closes for holidays, you're renovating, or you're preparing a new menu before a relaunch. Instead of unpublishing or deleting anything, you can simply disable the public page.
Disabling the page
- Open your restaurant settings page.
- Find the General Settings card and press Edit.
- Turn on 'Disable public page' and save.
What visitors see
While the page is disabled, visitors are redirected and see that the page is not available. No menu is shown and no orders can be placed. Your data stays untouched, the menu, settings, order history and team remain exactly as they were.
Bringing the page back
Go back to General Settings, turn 'Disable public page' off and save. Your page, menu and ordering are live again immediately, and your QR codes and shared links keep working since the URL never changed.
Good to know
- The current state is shown on your restaurant settings page as 'Public page: On' or 'Public page: Off'.
- Disabling the page doesn't pause your subscription, it only hides the page from visitors.
- If you only ran out of a few dishes, mark them as temporarily unavailable instead of taking the whole page down.
