Setting up delivery areas
Draw the zones you deliver to on a map and set a delivery cost for each one, so only reachable customers can order delivery.
Delivery areas let you decide exactly where you deliver and how much delivery costs in each place. You draw each zone on a map, and only customers whose address falls inside one of your areas can place a delivery order, at the price you set for that zone.
Turning on delivery
- Open your restaurant settings page.
- Find the Delivery options card and press Edit.
- Enable delivery to customers' doors.
Drawing a delivery area
- Press Add delivery area to open the map.
- Press Draw area, then click on the map to outline the zone you deliver to.
- Set the delivery cost for that zone.
- Save the area. Repeat to add as many zones as you need, each with its own delivery cost.
How customers experience it
- At checkout the customer enters their delivery address.
- If the address is inside one of your areas, they see that zone's delivery cost and can order.
- If it falls outside every area, they are told you don't deliver to their address.
Tips
- You need at least one delivery area for delivery to work, without one, delivery stays off.
- Use overlapping-free zones with different prices to charge more for farther deliveries.
- Keep areas realistic for your kitchen, a smaller zone means faster, fresher deliveries.
